Our Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors comprises a careful blend of individuals with relevant experience, expertise and technical abilities. They are:

Nana Dr. Adu-Sarkodee Afriyie | Group Chairman, CDH Financial Holding | Chairman

Dr. Emmanuel Adu-Sarkodee is a   seasoned business leader, legal professional, and public servant  with training from the University of Ghana, GIMPA, and Swiss  Business School. He is a Fellow of  the Chartered Institute of  Economists (Ghana) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax Practitioners (Ghana). He serves as an Assistant Lecturer at the GIMPA Law School.

He is the President of the Ghana Employers Association and Group Chairman of the Intermarket Group of Companies. He also serves on the Board of SSNIT and is widely recognised for turning distressed businesses into profitable, well-governed enterprises. His leadership has driven major transformations across hospitality, healthcare, finance, and investment.

  • Founder of Gilead Medical and Dental Centre, Accra
  • Executive Director and Board Member, Accra City Hotel
  • Led the successful rebranding of Novotel to Accra City Hotel
  • Founder and Majority Shareholder, Peninsula Resort and Golf Club, Akosombo
  • Former Chairman, CDH Balanced Fund, awarded Best-Performing Balanced Fund (2016)
  • Led the establishment of the National Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO) as Chairman in 2014

He has delivered keynote addresses at national platforms, including the University of Ghana, and continues to contribute to policy, business development, and food security in Ghana.

Dr. Adu-Sarkodee is the Founder and President of the Reconciliation Ministry, serving vulnerable children in Accra. He is married to Dr. Catherine Adu-Sarkodee and they have three children

Mr. Richard Nii Agyemfra Badger | DMD VRA (Former) | Director

  • Mechanical Engineer with nearly 40 years of experience in Ghana’s power utility sector.
  • 34 years with the Volta River Authority (public sector) and 6 years with Early Power Ltd and Amandi Energy Ltd (private sector IPPs).
  • Served in C-level management positions for the past 10 years across all three companies.
  • Holds a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from KNUST and a Master’s in Public Policy and Management from Harvard Kennedy School.
  • Fellow and past President (Western Region chapter) of the Ghana Institution of Engineering.
  • Director at Phoenix Insurance since 2015; currently serves on the Boards of Early Power Ltd and Amandi Energy Ltd.

Mrs. Sophia Frema Annan | Director

  • Finance, accounting, and audit professional with over 35 years of experience in Ghana and the United Kingdom.
  • Work experience covered accounting, advisory, and training services to a wide range of clients.
  • Former Principal Consultant with Kamerf Business Support (Accountants and Business advisors)
  • Former General ManagerFinance at Pasico Ghana Limited, responsible for financial operations.
  • Began her career at Pannell Kerr Forster (PKF), rising from trainee to Senior Audit Manager, managing statutory and investigative audits.
  • Served as Board Member at NDK Financial Services (2012–2020); chaired the Audit & Compliance Committee and contributed to other key committees.
  • Fellow of ACCA (UK) and Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana)

Mr. Martin Asamoah | Director

  • Group Chief Executive Officer of Intermarket Group; serves on boards including Intermarket Group, CDH Securities Ltd, and Accra City Hotel.
  • Has over 25 years’ experience in Ghana’s financial services industry.
  • Held multiple roles within Intermarket Group, from Corporate Finance Analyst to Executive Director across subsidiaries.
  • Led the recapitalisation and restructuring of Ivory Finance Company Limited, resulting in its licensing as a savings and loans company.
  • Chartered Accountant with an MBA in Accounting from the University of Ghana Business School.
  • Holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast.

Ms. Seyena-Susu Senya | Director

 

  • Over 25 years of experience across auditing, accounting, finance, administration, and supervision in banking, insurance, manufacturing, hospitality, and health sectors.
  • Holds a BSc Administration (Accounting) and an EMBA (Finance) from the University of Ghana, Legon.
  • Has worked with Coopers & Lybrand (PwC), Bank of Ghana, Federal Reserve Bank (Atlanta, Georgia), Reserve Bank of India, CDH Financial Holdings Ltd, and CDH Investment Holdings Ltd.
  • Serves as Director at Accra City Hotel, CDH Balanced Fund PLC, CDH Securities Ltd, and Volta Peninsula Resort and Golf Club (Akosombo).
  • Actively engaged in social work, supporting Reconciliation Ministry (Accra) for homeless children and Hope Children’s Village (Gomoa Fetteh) as Board Member and Vice Chairperson.
  • Board Member of Phoenix Insurance Ltd, bringing multi-sectoral financial and administrative expertise to the board.
